| 内容記述 | イエスはガリラヤの民衆に語り掛ける際に、神の国の譬え話を用いることが多かった（マコ 4:1-9, 26-29 他）。譬え話は簡潔なストーリーを伴った譬えであり、イエスは聴衆の理解を助けるために用いた（マコ 4:31-32）。譬えは聞いた者の脳裏に特別な意味を喚起するメタファ−として機能している。メタファーは新たな意味を創り出し、聞く者を新たな現実認識に導く効果を持っている。福音書中の譬え話の多くは史的イエス自身に遡るものであるが、一部には初代教会由来の喩え話も存在している（例えば、マタ 25:1-13, 31-46; マコ 12:1-12; 13:34-36: ルカ 14:5-24 他）。これらの譬え話は、キリストの再臨の時を迎える信徒の心構えについて語る勧告的な機能を持っている。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Jesus often told the parables of the Kingdom of God when he spoke to a large crowd of people in Galilee (Mark 4:1-9, 26-29 etc. ). A parable is a short metaphorical story which compares one thing to another. Jesus employed the figure of speech for the sake of better understanding on the side of his audience (cf. 4:33-34). The parables of Jesus prompt his audience to reach a new understanding of the reality of the rule of God. Though most parables in the Gospels are derived from the historical Jesus, some of them were composed in the early church. They exhort the believers to be ready for the parousia of the risen Lord (Matthew 25:1-13, 31-46; Mark 12:1-12; 13:34-36: Luke14:5-24). | |||||||||||||
